Research, Installation and PerformingPan-Africanism Workshop - 2024 ‍

As part of my research and work developing the 2nd iteration of the Cross-Cultural Digital Exchange and Research residency; I travelled to Dar es Salaam on a residency to engage with the Arts scene and Artist community. As part of my residency, and my first time in Tanzania (East Africa), I invited artists and community members to a workshop - Performing Pan-Africanism; where we had conversations, read and engaged with texts/writings on the theme of Pan Africanism, Pan African Festivals, language, artistic mobility, peace and security on the continent etc.

Through this workshop, I invited artists and creatives to come read, rest and reflect on how better collaborations and cooperations between each other could lead to a future of collective prosperity for all Africans. My residency ended with an Open studio and the creation of 2 installations inspired by a future where Africans across the continent can engage more easily through artistic exchanges.
